Ballet_Royale-113.jpgYouth Ballet Program

Youth Ballet (Runs Full School Year) is for students 7 years of age and older. This program follows a seven-level elementary through advanced intermediate ballet syllabus; the higher levels include Modern (Contemporary) Dance, Preparation for Pointe training, Performance ("Musical Theater") Jazz, an elite Solos/Variations class, and Pointe classes. All levels of Youth Ballet include or incorporate Repertoire training, in which students learn choreography & dances.

New Students with previous dance training will be personally evaluated and placed in the level best matching their ability, not based on their age. The focus of these classes is in the fundamentals of classical ballet technique, dance quality, artistry, repertoire, and performance skills.

The Youth Ballet Program is structured so that, in general, most students taking the recommended time investment of classses progress through the program levels approximately one level per year. Optional additional classes are offered for those seeking more intensive or accelerated training.

Students who have been placed into Advanced Youth II or higher may choose to join the FlexPlan Program to better accommodate other activities and interests. This program allows students to continue receiving the same top quality professional training at Ballet Royale, but on a less intense, more flexible schedule.
